Biography: Born in the year 6, David grew up on Coruscant where he excelled in school and was a natural leader among his peers. Following the death of his sister in a Rebel Alliance bombing, he joined the Imperial Navy soon after his 18th birthday. He earned his commission and became an engineer like his father before him and rose through the ranks of the Navy for 12 years to eventually command a small corvette. Soon after assuming this position, the ship was attacked by Rebel forces while on patrol. The ship and most of the crew were lost. David was summarily court marshaled and dishonorably discharged in the general paranoia following the defeat at the Battle of Endor. Fighting back from this blow, he joined the crew of an independent Corellian freighter. Before long, he had gained command of his own ship and crew.
Sinclair first met Nick Fel when he unknowingly stumbled upon an engagement between New Republic and Imperial forces. Having armed his vessel, he elected to improve the Republics odds and engaged the Imperials. David's ship was a loss, but his action allowed them to withdraw and regroup their fleet. After the battle, the battle group commander invited him to join the New Republic where his command experience was once again put to good use.
Several years later, David was already in command of the Star Destroyer Hunter when it was reassigned to Rogue Squadron, and continues to serve there at present.
David Sinclair is a very private person, and while many of his colleagues know about his merchant days, few know of his years of service in the Imperial Navy. He is intrigued by the Tau'ri, and has cultivated a friendship with many of them, including his sparing partner Corry Vrecken. Known for his dry sense of humor and strong engineering background, David has many rarely exhibited skills including qualified star fighter pilot, sniper, and an expertise with all manner of bladed weapons.
