Introduction

Welcome to Rogue Squadron, a forum-based freeform Role Playing Game. You play a new recruit in the New Republic Military, selected ahead of your peers to join a top-secret task force fighting a hidden war against a terrifying enemy.

By taking part in RPG scenarios, you can gain promotions and work your way up the chain of command. But the most important thing is to have fun interacting with other players, in and out of character!

The site mentions Goa'uld and Stargates. Is this a cross-over?

Years ago, there was an official Stargate community run by Showtime, where members could band together into 'units'. Nick Fel started a unit for Star Wars fans called Rogue Squadron, and it started to develop its own story and separate message board community. When Showtime closed its site, Rogue Squadron had to strike out on its own and the current site was born.

In the game, a Stargate was uncovered on the edge of Wild Space five years after the Battle of Endor, allowing instantaneous travel between a network of gates in the Unknown Regions. But it also introduced the New Republic to the Goa'uld, a power-hungry parasitic race bent on Galactic conquest, and a lost Imperial warlord determined to claim the Unknown Regions for himself. A task force, code-named 'Rogue Squadron' was dispatched to investigate the threat.

How do I get started?

Once you've registered, just drop by the message boards and introduce yourself, we'll be pleased to meet you! You can jump into any active RPG scenario as soon as you feel comfortable doing so.
