Biography: An archeologist and anthropologist, Jackson long held theories that the pyramids of Egypt were buit by an alien species, leading to his recruitment by the USAF to help decipher the Stargate system.
A veteran of the first mission to Abydos, Jackson remained there until his wife was kidnapped and taken as Apophis' queen and he joined SG-1 hoping to find her.
He was believed killed recently in an offworld accident, but has since been found alive and returned to his position.
