Biography: Brinin Avers was born in the Demophon system and joined the Imperial Navy as soon as it was legal to do so. He focused on internal security during his career and was busy ferreting out a corrupt supply officer when his parents and sister died in the supernova that claimed the Demophon system.
He was willing to accompany Admiral Steele more from a desire to put distance between himself and their deaths than anything else, and grew to be close friends with Sandoval Grey. Ultimately he defected with the rest of his crew during the Battle of U1977.
He was held in a prison colony for cooperative defectors, where he is believed to have escaped in 51:4.
