Malphuus

Lord General

Malphuus

System Lord

Profile

Status: Presumed dead

Species: Male Human Clone

Biography: Several clones of the Imperial General Malphus were created in Steele's cloning facility, intended to be the commanders of his rejuvenated forces. However one modified Spaarti cylinder malfunctioned, growing the clone too quickly. This clone of Malphus suffered from clone madness and promptly killed the other clones and the technicians before being imprisoned with other defective clones, who he convinced to revolt. The clones captured the cloning facility, but were repelled by Imperial and New Republic forces, before the clone escaped in a cloaked vessel.

He was next encountered on Kurava, calling himself Malphuus, where he had travelled to try and overcome his mental condition. However, while there he discovered the Ancient device the Kuravan monks had hidden, and sent word to Ba'al, allying himself with the Goa'uld and bringing his forces down on Kurava. After a confrontation in the monastery, Malphuus and Ba'al both escaped through the Stargate.

He showed up again, still in the service of Ba'al, while members of Rogue Squadron posed as the Goa'uld Der'ak. After the destruction of Ba'al's Kurava Warship construction facility, Malphuus fled into the service of Khepri, a System Lord he found to be more malleable.

He persuaded Khepri to approach Rogue Squadron and offer an alliance against Sobek, intending to destroy both his enemies. Although Rogue Squadron survived, Sobek was captured and Khepri killed.

With both System Lords out of the picture, Malphuus was in position to take control of both their domains, declaring himself Lord General of his new Imperial Union.

Malphuus' reign was was plagued by difficulties. Factions loyal to their previous rulers formed the Triumvirate, drawing his attention away from his true purpose of galactic conquest. Worse, the Dukhang threat originated in his own territories, cutting a deadly swathe through the Imperial Union from which they never truly recovered.

When Sobek reemerged, it was the Imperial Union fleet who led the assault on his superweapon at Krialon. Much of Malphuus's fleet was destroyed when the system's sun exploded, presumably killing Malphuus and leaving his empire in tatters.
