Biography: Dak was born with the name Kyp Montross" on Corellia to a caring mother and a bum of a father. Dak's father never had a job, so from 10 years of age Dak was forced to pilot swoops to feed himself and his parents.
On the Corellian swoop tracks Dak raced with a passion not seen in other drivers and soon the young boy had earned quite a reputation.
At age 15, Dak's mother died when his father killed her in a drunken rage. Feeling the pain of losing the only person he ever cared about, Dak pooled his swoop earnings, bought his Dak Peters identity (adding just over two years to his age making him 18),# and enlisted in the New Republic Military.
Dak's goal is to one day be a starfighter pilot, but his future is still to be seen.
On U1977, Dak befriended a young pilot named Cain Valdeez and the two quickly becane friends.
