Biography: Jessi deserted the Empire's forces and joined the Rebel Alliance after the destruction of Alderaan.

She has always believed staff officers should stay out of army affairs, but was forced to accept Corry Vrecken as her commander during the Battle of Kurava. She developed a respect for Corry, however, and eventually suggested her for a transfer to the 23rd Line Regiment.

Following a serious injury when earthquakes struck Farpoint in 53:9, Crontauer was promoted to take command of the 1st Battalion.
