Biography: Traff was a Captain in the Western Confederate Army during Ketbrae's last civil war, serving under the renowned General Tal Oxus. He was a hero of the Battle of Loghad Creek, generally acknoledged as the battle that won the war.
Several years after this victory, the planet was invaded by Imperial forces, and Traff fought in the Ketbrae Coalition Army - a feeble attempt to resist the invasion, which was eventually crushed.
After their defeat, Traff didn't give up. He was instrumental in forming and commanding the Ketbrae Resistance, an underground movement to overthrow the Imperial occupation. It was with the Resistance that he met Lyarn Platt and Dirk Webber - NRI Operatives which he mistook for Imperial agents - and helped them to complete their mission. They promised to help the Resistance, and made contact with them again.
After the destruction of the Super Star Destroyer Steel, forces were drawn off Ketbrae to defend other targets, and with the aid of the New Republic, the Resistance overthrew the Imperial forces and freed their world.
Afterwards, Traff asked to join the New Republic Military. With his knowledge of covert operations, he was given command of a recently re-formed 3N Platoon.
