Description: Brown hair and eyes, medium build.
Biography: Meraxa is one of the few humans to have come from Bal'demnic, after his parents moved there during the Clone Wars as doctors. Their inception into the populace was a curious and bemusing one, the result of begrudging thanks to those healed by their services. At the same time, their place amongst the people of Bal'demnic was marred by the fact they effectively profited upon the wounded in a conflict that was not particularly wished for by anyone.
Meraxa has been best friends with Harak Okman ever since he was born. Both born on the same day in the hospital belonging to Meraxa's parents, they bonded quickly and have been hard to separate ever since, treating each other as brothers as close to blood as you might ever find.
When he was young, Bal'demnic was the location of a battle between the Empire and its enemies. Needing what advantages they could, the Imperials sought to have the Dewans treat their injured. The Dewans refused however, and under grounds of treason against the Imperial throne, were executed for their 'crime'.
Without them to watch over him, Meraxa had to leave Bal'demnic, a refugee and a victim. He would never say that the orphanage he was raised in on Corellia was without merit, for which he is quite fortunate in all truth. But if given the choice between that or being able to have kept his parents, it is hard to see how he wouldn't pick the latter.
One he became of age, Meraxa enlisted into the New Republic Military. With a few distinctions and merits to his name, he graduated with the expectance of winding in some corner of the galaxy where he would be left patrolling hyperspace lanes for the rest of existence.
