[15:17] <Viper7> Intelligence has received a rather strange signal that they have not yet been able to trace. It appears to come from a source with access to Steele's secure files.
[15:17] <Viper7> The message informs us of a long-range sensor post on the moon M4R-312, also known as Kly IV on our charts. Our anonymous informant wishes us to know that this post has been used to keep a watch on Farpoint, and was established about a week after Steele's forces were pushed back out of the system.
[15:17] <Viper7> While still hesitant that this may be a trap, Command has agreed that if there is a post it must be destroyed due to the system's close proximity to Farpoint.
[15:17] <Viper7> In the event that it is a trap, Hunter and Ikara are standing by to jump in-system and provide us with any support we may need.
[15:17] <Viper7> Kly IV is an airless moon covered in canyons and craters. For that reason we will be issued pressure suits for this mission. The stargate is located about 400m from the main atmosphere dome that contains the bulk of the facility. Two other atmosphere domes are located on either side of the path from the stargate to the dome. These are believed to hold the sensing equipment.
[15:17] <Viper7> Our informant tells us that the facility is lightly guarded; relying on the fact that the moon contains no atmosphere and that anyone who steps though the stargate with out a pressure suit would be torn apart from explosive decompression.

[15:22] * Atomic moves to the explosives locker and packs a rucksack full of naquadah enhanced nergon, and various grenades

[15:22] <Miles> You checked out on a launcher for an E-11?
[15:22] * Padme makes her way to armoory
[15:22] * Viper7 taps Thorn on the shoulder and whispers "Babysit those two for me, will you?"
[15:23] * Thorn grins
[15:23] * Viper7 smacks Jol upside the head
[15:23] <Viper7> no
[15:23] * Jol picks up an E-11 and grenade launcher
[15:23] * Miles signs for a M435 and a rcuksack full of charge-pacs
[15:24] * Viper7 checks out his vaccuum suit and an E11
[15:24] * Padme puts her pressure suit on and hooks med supplys to suit, then checks her weapons
[15:24] * Atomic carries the rucksack to his suit, which he puts on, sliding the pack over its broad shoulders
[15:24] * Miles stops at his locker and begins to put on his space armour
[15:24] * Jol checks the charge on his DL-44 before putting back into its holster on the pressure suit. He then puts the pressure suit on
[15:25] * Thorn gets suited, armed, and heads for the gate
[15:25] <Jol> We any weapons for this mission?
[15:25] * Miles slings the M435, picks up his helmet and heads for the gate
[15:25] * Atomic attaches his Enhanced E-11 and pulase blaster to his suit, along with a magnetic combat vibroblade
[15:25] <Jol> It's a serious question
[15:25] <Viper7> standard weapons
[15:26] <Viper7> extra load of munitions
[15:26] * Viper7 starts putting on his vaccuume suit
[15:26] <Thorn> Miles, to answer your question, this will be the first live fire mission for me with this little attachement
[15:27] * Miles checks his DL-18, flips the safety on and reholsters it
[15:27] * Atomic wanders down to the gateroom, securing his helmet

[15:27] * Jol signs out another E-11 and grenade launcer, as well as another band of powerpacks. He hooks the two carbines up so they can be draw by the opposite hand

[15:28] <Miles> <Just remember that it has a ballistic arc and isn't line of sight like the blaster
[15:28] * Viper7 grabs his helmet, slings his E11, and makes off to the control room
[15:28] * Padme makes her way to control room
[15:28] * Miles enters the gateroom and donns his helmet
[15:28] * Viper7 turns Padme around and points her to the gate room
[15:28] * Jol follows the others and snaps his helmet into place

[15:38] * Miles looks for rocks big enough for cover as he moves forward

[15:39] * Viper7 drops down into a small crater
[15:39] * Atomic moves up closer to Miles, signalling him to take right flank
[15:39] <Miles> <comms> scanning thermal Atromic. moderate heat source from Equipment dome
[15:39] * Thorn watches her sensors for communication activity coming from the habitat dome
[15:39] <Atomic> <comms> Any venting?
[15:39] * Jol sets a pair of macrobinoculars into his visor, turns them on the main dome and increases magnification
[15:40] * Miles scans for thermal vents
[15:40] <Viper7> <comms> Atomic, when the charge goes off, it should vent all atmosphere from the dome. Anyone inside shouldn't pose a threat.

[15:41] <Jol> <comms> Minimal activity around main dome, wait, I see a patrol. No threat, they're just on a stroll around the dome

[15:46] * Atomic flips the switch, and the charge detonates. Molten globs of metal bound away, as the two troopers and all the internal crew are blown off, some spontaneously exploding as they reach full vacuum. All the debris quickly attain escape velocity.

[15:47] * Miles pops his head up again over the crater rim

[15:47] * Atomic shudders as the shockwave hits him through the ground

[15:58] * Padme finds a small airleak on Jol from atomisc landing, covers the hold with tape
[15:58] * Miles fire and splits the trooper Viper hit in teo
[15:59] * Atomic hits one trooper in the leg, the rest of his body is prompltly liquidised and boils out of the hole
[15:59] <Thorn> <comms> I am still getting communication from the dome, someone is still in there
[15:59] <Viper7> <comms> I'll take care of that, cover me
[15:59] <Miles> <comms> IF anybody would care to lay down some covering fire

[16:01] * Atomic hits another trooper full on in the chest, he flies back on venting gas, half-vapourising on a blob of still molten transparisteel

[16:01] * Miles starts to take in coming mortar fire
[16:02] * Viper7 slaps one of the nergon charges on the trooper's chest and shoves him back out the hole

[16:02] * Thorn smaks the comm sensor system
[16:02] * Padme trips over a crator, i think i sprung my ankle (someone take care of me while i go take care of kids for 5 min)

[16:02] * Atomic throws his vibroblade, it soars in the low-g, zero-resistance environment, slicing open a trooper's arm

[16:03] * Atomic dodges the trooper as he flies away, screams muffled by vacuum

[16:04] * Viper7 clumps down the corridor, holding his E11 in one hand and a munitions charge in the other
[16:04] * Viper7 locates the proper room and blasts the pannel next to the door
[16:04] <Miles> <comms> they've got a mortar to the left rear of the second dome
[16:04] * Viper7 steps in as the door hisses open
[16:04] * Atomic begins hand to hand combat with a trooper thet snook up on him
[16:04] <Atomic> <comms> Crap, no blade
[16:05] * Thorn tries to get a shot at the trooper with Atomic, but cant get a shot in
[16:05] * Miles blasts the trooper that is fighting with Atomic Blowing off a leg
[16:05] * Viper7 grins

[16:05] * Atomic rips the trooper's glove off, his hand promptly explodes, and his face soon vanishes behind a spray of grayish red
[16:05] * Viper7 makes his way down to the power core
[16:06] * Atomic pushes off the decompressed corpse

[16:06] * Miles reaims and continues to fire at the spacetroopers
[16:06] * Viper7 fixes the charge to the core and starts setting up additional charges about the room.

[16:09] * Atomic grabs a grenade and kicks it toward the impeding garrison

[16:22] * Atomic watches the event horizon disengage, followed by a piercing blue light shredding its way through the fading canyons and valleys, vaporising everything in its wake, narrowly missing the ATR.
