The New Republic Calendar has ten months named Elona, Kelona, Selona, Telona, Nelona, Helona, Melona, Yelona, Relona and Welona. Each month has seven five-week days. The five days are Atunda, Katunda, Satunda, Datunda and Natunda.
In addition to the ten months, there are three holiday weeks named Spring Festival (SF), Restoration Week (RW) and Winter Fete (WF), as well as Liberation Day (LD), High Day (HD) and War Day (WD). These holidays fall in between months.
A typical date might be given as 10:6:17. This would represent the 17th day of the 6th month of Year 10. Were it given as 10:6, this would mean the 6th month of Year 10. Just 10 would simply mean Year 10. This might be written as Year 10 for clarity.
The New Republic has chosen to use the Great ReSynchronization as the zero-point in its year-notations - 35 years before the Battle of Yavin.
