Description: A pleasant world, with many mountain ranges.
Details: Kurava was once home to a race of peaceful, wise aliens, who were trusted by the dying Ancients to safeguard a piece of forbidden technology--a black disc which was the vital component in the Discworld weapon.
Millennia passed, and the Kuravan civilisation likewise began to die out. Planning to pass the disc on to descendants of the Ancients, they travelled to Earth in the 6th Century, but found only a primitive race. As their last effort, they left an envoy on Earth to foster civilisation, and took a small group of Tau'ri back to Kurava to start a colony of protectors.
The dying Kuravans taught the Tau'ri all they knew, and in time, the colony grew into a city, governed by a group of monks who devoted themselves to the Kuravan teachings.
This planet was discovered early in Rogue Squadron's explorations, and they formed a solid friendship with the locals. As such, when the System Lord Ba'al invaded Kurava following legends of the Discworld weapon, the Kuravans contacted Rogue Squadron for assistance.
The world was liberated and Rogue Squadron took the disc for research, leaving a detachment of engineering units to help rebuild the city.
