Briefing:
Our mysterious source has been traced back to Ankhron. We still don't know who he is, but we do know that his information has proved reliable twice. We have no reason to suspect him to be wrong this time.
Thanks to him we have been able to locate one of Steele's prison camps. We believe that the missing crewmen from the IX-33, the prisoners taken when Steele's forces assaulted Farpoint, and a missing SGC team amongst others are being held here. Our mission is to go in and rescue our people.
The planet is a barren wasteland. Deep canyons cut the landscape and open up into large, enclosed areas. The prison camp is located in one of these large enclosed areas. Due to the fact that there is no stargate on the planet, we will be taking Assault Transport ATR-REE01. The assault transport will launch from the cruiser Reef waiting just outside the system and proceed to the planet. Once in orbit, the assault transport will descend to the surface on the opposite side of the planet from the base and follow the network of canyons to another enclosed area about 1km from the camp. We will disembark there and proceed to the prison on foot.
Our primary objective is to secure the facility and to locate our captured personnel.
Once the prison is secured, the cruiser Reef will enter the system and dispatch landing craft to retrieve the rescued POWs. ATR-REE01 will transport the assault team back up to the cruiser.

We landed without incident and made our way down through the network of canyons. Davie and Glantry were dispatched up the walls to act as flankers to insure that what happened on the mission to rescue the crew of the intelligence ferret did not happen again.
While still several hundred meters away from the prison we encountered a security system that we bypassed by simply going around. The next obstacle was a tad bit tricky. The prison sensor network kept us from actually moving in on the prison building itself.
Davie and Corry were dispatched to take out the two main sensor stations while Glantry, Thorn, and myself were to take out the secondaries positioned closer to the base as soon as the mains were disabled, thus creating a hole in their sensor coverage that we could slip through.
Once that was done, Davie was left behind to cover our advance to the base. A two prong assault was mounted, with Thorn and Glantry entering one direction while Corry and I entered another.
Corry and I ended up being closer to the prison cells, so Glantry and Thorn were sent to raid the base's armoury so we could properly equip the prisoners to help in their own defense. Corry was sent to secure the roof for evacuation while I continued to set the prisoners loose.
Unfortunately, I became cut off in both directions of escape, and Thorn, in an attempt to help, set off a glop grenade that blocked off retreat back the way we had come, and cut them off from getting to us, so we pushed through to the roof while Thorn and Glantry went back to retrieve Davie and the transport.
Davie called in Reef and the landing craft while I got the prisoners up to the roof. While herding them into the transports, Corry and I came under fire, and I was struck in the left leg.
With a bit of help, and a lot of luck, we all made it out.
