Mission Leader: Nick Fel
Mission Classification: Lima VI Recon
Mission Transcript: [Available]
Briefing: From what we've deciphered, the Grail lies in a cavern out in the deserts of P43-3J23. The entrance to the cavern is half a kilometre north of the gate.
The planet appears to be a rolling desert dotted by rock outcroppings. The Stargate is located inside a cave in one of these outcroppings. Initial surveys show no Goa'uld activity, or any other activity for that matter.
Personnel: Anton "Viper" Moore, Corry Vrecken, David Sinclair, Glantry Fett, Ilexa Thorn, Nick Fel, Phil Fett
Injuries to Personnel/Equipment: Phil Fett - broken arm
Report: We found the outcropping with no problems, but couldn't locate the entrance, until Corry directed our attention upwards. We scaled the outcropping, noticing odd mechanical sounds coming from inside as we did.
Once inside the cavern, we discovered the place was crawling with Replicators - how we're not sure, since they're meant to have been contained by the Asgard.
The team quickly retreated finding a crevice in the rock that led down to a metal structure underground, presumably the same place the tunnels led. We slipped down, as Glantry and myself covered from behind. Once down, we gummed up the crevice with a glop grenade to prevent Replicators getting down.
We found ourselves infront of a huge metal door covered in a script similar to Latin - that of the Ancients. Thorn read the writings and opened the door, letting us into a dark chamber.
We encountered numerous booby traps before getting to another chamber, softly lit, but with no discernable energy or light source. Viper stepped into the centre of the room and was engulfed in a shaft of light, which seemed to grant him some kind of telepathic powers. He used them to open up a hidden compartment in the wall, containing the Holy Grail, a simple wooden chalice.
A few moments later, we were all teleported outside, and the outcropping started to sink into the sand. Seismic activity of some description ripped across the desert as we gated out. Post-Mission Analysis: We've been in communication with the Asgard, who sent a ship to investigate P43-3J23. They report that residual remains on the far side of the planet match the hull composition and age of a Replicator-commanded ship currently unaccounted for. The outcropping and Stargate appear to be deep underground, and no Replicators can be detected.
