Operation Forged Dagger

Mission Leader: Anton "Viper" Moore

Mission Classification: Foxtrot V Assault

Mission Transcript: [Available]

Briefing:
All right, we're going to Nar Shadda.

Somewhere on this city-moon is a factory that produces knockoffs of Goa'uld technology. Our mission is to shut it down.

We seem to have hit a snag in our mission planning though, so we will have to make a side trip first.

The transport Scar will be our primary means of transport, and we will land on Nar Shadda at a private landing pad maintained by NRI. It will also be our primary means of escape, although if necessary, we may need to hijack a ship from elsewhere.

Our first stop once we arrive at the smuggler's moon is to pay a visit to a small cantina owned by the family of Lieutenant Anderson. Jassic will await us there with information on the location of the factory.

Once this information is secured, we will regroup at the Scar and begin the trek though the labyrinth to where ever the factory is located. We are to shut this factory down; use of destructive force has been authorized.

When the factory has been destroyed, we will return to the Scar and make our way out into the space lanes.

Alternate forms of escape may become necessary if our rout to the Scar is cut off.

Report:
Well, took us a good half hour or so to get the briefing started, and another 10-20 minutes till we actually got the ship out of the hanger.

We hit hyperspace and made it to the Smuggler's Moon without incident. Ditto on the landing.

Once we landed, Lieutenants Anderson and Fortis made contact with Jassic and secured the datapad that held the information on the factory.

After a rather long trek, we made it down to the correct sub-level where we had an encounter with a couple street punks. I put a gun in one's face and Atomic stuck a vibroblade against the other's neck. They fled in terror and we continued on.

We headed to the right location and our assault hit the place from three directions.

Miles lead a team in through the rear entrance, Anderson went in the front door, and Atomic and I scaled the walls and dropped in through a roof hatch.

A fierce firefight ensued, and we managed to do in most of the equipment and almost all of the guards and workers.

Atomic set demo charges that would bring down the building and we all got out. Davie got wounded-actually, he left-and had to be carried out.

Atomic and I schiested a hovertruck and attempted to lead the responding Imperial troops away from the rest of the team.

In our mad dash, we came across a hanger that held a modified YT-510. Being light-fingered, we stole that as well.

Heading out, we provided covering fire for Anderson's team while they made their escape. Atomic trashed a hovertank and several heavy weapons emplacements before a flight of TIEs forced us to break off and engage. Atomic dealt with 3 using concussion missiles, but the forth required close range laser cannon work up in the debris field over the moon.

Atomic came up with a scheme to fake our deaths so that the Imperial ships waiting for us further out would disperse.

It worked well, and we made our run for it. A squadron of ties attempted to engage us, but between Atomic's gunnery skills, and the folks manning Scar's turbolasers, we held them off long enough to make the jump to hyperspace and begin the long trip back to Farpoint.

Post-Mission Analysis:
Intel collected on Nar Shadda after the mission suggests that the 'Remnant' forces encountered were not affiliated with any faction of the Empire. The most likely origin is stolen or surplussed Imperial materials in use by pirate groups.

The Imperial Remnant is not known to have any forces in Hutt Space.
