Operation Rebel Supply

Mission Leader: Anton "Viper" Moore

Mission Classification: Lima V Escort

Mission Transcript: Unavailable

Briefing:
The planet P8X-943, also known as Bargesh, is occupied by Imperial and Goa'uld forces under High Admiral Steele.

Intel has recently made contact with a local resistance group attempting to depose the good Admiral from their planet, and they have asked us for assistance. Unfortunately, Bargesh appears to be a heavily occupied world, and any sort of direct assault by our forces would result in more losses than Fleet Command is willing to accept.

Lacking significant forces to allocate to us for use in this mission, Command has instead decided to authorize the transportation of military and other supplies to the Bargesh resistance fighters.

We will infiltrate the planet via stargate, which according to Intelligence and our friends in the Bargesh resistance, is unguarded, and unused by Steele's forces. It is our belief that he does not know of the existence of the gate, or believes it to be buried as has been seen on many other worlds.

Bargesh is a hot, humid world covered in tropical jungles. Many paths have been blazed by the Bargesh resistance to allow vehicles to move freely through the jungles, and we will take advantage of this.

Our transportation will consist of four T-C9 hover transports that will be loaded with supplies for the resistance. Speeder bikes and a ULAV will comprise the escort screen.

Once through the gate, we expect to meet up with a representative of the Bargesh Resistance movement who will lead us to our final destination.

Personnel:
Andru Clayton, Anton "Viper" Moore, Camill Kenobi, Corry Vrecken, David Sinclair, Ilexa Thorn, Padme Fett, Phil Fett

Injuries to Personnel/Equipment:
Anton "Viper" Moore - Minor abrasions and bruises, possible rib fractures
Ilexa Thorn - Blaster burn to the leg
1 Speeder Bike - destroyed
4 T-C9 Hover Transports - damaged
1 ULAV - damaged

Report:
We deployed through the gate and secured the immediate area with no hostile interference. Once the gate area was secured, the convoy's hover transports and ULAV escort were brought through.

Contact was made with the guide sent by the Bargesh Resistance and the convoy was readied to move. The speeder bikes were sent out in an arc forward, curving to the left and right of the transports while additional speeder bikes took rear guard.

The scout screen made contact with what was believed to be an imperial probe droid that appeared to be stalking us. Davie was sent to circle around behind the droid and drive it into the open where the rest of us could catch it in a crossfire. The droid was herded out onto the open trail where it was caught in a crossfire by the rest of the escort screen. The droid was disabled and elected to self destruct. Luckily, none of our team was caught in the resulting explosion, so no casualties were sustained.

Imperial markings were found on the droid, confirming our suspicions. The team was quickly spurred on to put distance between us and the engagement incase the droid got off a signal and anyone came looking.

We eventually made it to the huge clearing where the bastion of the resistance movement had elected to headquarter itself, but found it under siege by several companies worth of Steele's Storm Troopers and about a dozen AT-ST scout walkers. The beleaguered defenders still held the fortifications in the middle of the clearing, but clearly could not last much longer. A decision was made to attempt to run the blockade and break the siege.

David was sent around to a position where he could cover both the forward and rear quarters of the base and provide sniper support for our charge. He reported five scout walkers within range of the base's main gates that could challenge our vehicles, but the laser cannons and concussion grenade launcher of the ULAV were an even match for an AT-ST, and the laser cannons on the hover transports would be quite effective against any Storm Troopers that would challenge us. That firepower, coupled with the reckless speed of our advance caught Steele's troops unawares. Davie managed to take out their heavy weapons nests, keeping our vehicles safe from Imperial E-Web fire.

Unfortunately, one of Andru's little computer toys managed to disable our communications for several seconds. Luckily this didn't prove fatal to our assault. An explosion from a concussion grenade launched by one of the walkers exploded directly under my speeder bike, totaling the bike and pitching me off. Andru was similarly thrown when the ULAV he was riding pitched forward over a small hillock. No serious injuries are believed to have been sustained by either Sergeant Clayton or myself.

Between the ULAV's lasers and a spattering of proton grenades, all five of the walkers opposing us were toppled or destroyed. The hover transports, with assistance from Davie managed to clear the way to the gate. All personnel managed to make it inside without being hit.

While the transports were being unloaded, Rogue Squadron personnel were ordered to assist in the defense of the base. Some of the supplies that were to be issued to the resistance movement were requisitioned to fulfill this task.

After the transports were unloaded, we made a break for it, scattering and drawing the Imperials away from the base so that the slower ground transports of the Bargesh Resistance could sneak away without being prime targets.

We then commenced a kilometer and a half long race to the stargate, with Steele's Storm Troopers hot on our heels. Luckily we won and made it back through the gate with no further incidents.
